We were called out to help the Co-op with an automatic door issue recently that was affecting their business.
Absolute Door Services attended an out of hours reactive call out on a spring Sunday morning at a shop in Chelmsford Essex. They had an old wooden Georgian door that had been automated many years ago and boxed in making access quite difficult for us to repair the automatic door.
We sectioned off the door to remove the panelling the operating equipment was behind, so we could carry out our fault finding. Unfortunately the old Record processor had failed and needed replacing meaning we would have to upgrade the automatic door which to be honest had seen better days.
We've advised site that a full upgrade to BS EN 16005 would be a good option as the old controls are now obsolete.
