ADS carried a routine service (PPM) at this school in Chelmsford, Essex. Upon inspection of the doors we found the anti finger trap mechanism had split and could possibly have trapped a child's fingers. Its very important to have doors that are child safe, especially in a school! We fitted new up to date and safe roller finger blinds to the doors.
Anti finger trap mechanisms are part of the EN 16005 regulations for automatic/powered doors.
The doors are now EN 16005 compliant and safe for the children.
